The Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University through its Research and Development Services Office organized and hosted the 2nd Regional Conference on Multidisciplinary Research with the theme “Regional Multidisciplinary Interactions: A Microcosm of the World of Emerging Collaborative Ideas” held last March 01-03, 2018 at the University Hostel and Multipurpose Hall. This conference aims to provide an avenue or platform for faculty researchers in the Region to effectively exchange valuable research outputs in education geared towards the enhancement and uplift of the teaching strategies and approaches, educational policies as well as government policies.

This is a three-day event that featured 44 presenters coming from the different parts of Central Luzon, and parts of Metro Manila, and attended by 231 participants mostly coming from Pampanga, with some coming from other provinces, accompanying their school’s representatives.

The Best Presenter awardees received certificates and a cash prize of Php 6,000.00 each, and the Best Paper awardees received certificates and a cash prize of Php 10,000.00 each.

The event was also participated by the Bulacan Polytechnic President himself, Atty. Robert John Donessa who presented The Hacienda de Calamba Agrarian Reform. The Gordon College Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Darwin Paguio and the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Ederic Gadia also presented their research papers in the event. There are also entries that came from the Metro Manila. Ms. Dominique Angela M. Juntado from UP Diliman presented a research that proudly Pampanga centered, Ligligang Parul: Pampanga’s Giant Lanterns as Political Thought. Another came from Olivarez College, Parañaque City. Other presenters came from various HEIs and DepEd schools. From Pampanga, 10 entries are from DepEd, 8 from DHVTSU, 3 from Holy Angel University, 3 from Mabalacat City College and 1 from the University of the Assumption. From the Nueva Ecija province, 3 are from Wesleyan University, 3 from Central Luzon State University and 1 from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. From the Zambales province, 3 are from Gordon College, and Tarlac province, 1 entry is from Tarlac State University and 1 from Dominican College of Tarlac. There is 1 entry from a private institution and one from DSWD. Some Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Deans, and Directors from participating schools also graced the conference.

The said event was endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Education (DepEd).
