DHVSU hailed as nat’l finalist for promoting IP education

Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), through the Student Welfare and Formation Office (SWFO), was recognized as one of the national finalists in the Most Innovative Higher Education Institution in Promoting Indigenous People’s (IP) Education Competition during the BIGKIS: 1st Philippine Higher Education Conference on Indigenous Peoples Education held on July 5, 2024, at Bukidnon State University, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

The innovative practices of DHVSU are described as a combination of strengthening future goals and security through innovation and sustainability in making visions become reality. These practices serve our Indigenous People and their communities as they navigate the ever-changing world, which in the past excluded them, specifically focusing on the Ayta Magbukun community.
