The Quality Management Systems Office envisions to become the lead bureau in creating and fostering a culture of quality and excellence in higher education through continuous monitoring and improvement of educational products and services.

Mission

Steered by its Vision, the Quality Management Systems Office is committed to provide high quality services and support in the areas of program accreditation, institutional assessment, curriculum and instruction, faculty position evaluation, and quality management system.

Functions, duties, and responsibilities

A. Program Accreditation and Institutional Assessment 

1. Monitors the status of accredited and soon-to-be-accredited academic programs of the University;
2. Assists concerned units in the preparation and actual conduct of program/institutional accreditation/assessment by both the internal and external accrediting/assessment bodies;
3. Mentors area chairpersons and area team members as to the requirements of the accrediting/assessment body prior to the preparation of actual documents;
4. Recommends accreditors and would-be accreditors to capability-building trainings on outcomes-based quality assurance upon the invitation of accrediting agencies;

B. Curriculum and Instruction

1. Reviews the policies, standards, and guidelines (PSGs) for academic programs offered in the University
2. Facilitates the conduct of in-house capability-building trainings on outcomes- based education, curriculum development, and syllabi-making;
3. Facilitates the conduct of in-house capability-building trainings on teaching strategies, classroom management, and measurement and evaluation;
4. Monitors course syllabi implementation;

Quality Management System

1. Facilitates QMS capability-building trainings;
2. Ensures the absence of major non-compliance to ISO 9001:2015 Quality
3. Management System standard and those determined by the University as well as statutory and regulatory agencies during the internal and external quality audits;
4. Conducts Internal Quality Audits (IQA) and Management Reviews (MR) to assist
5. Process owners in addressing all identified non-conformities; and,
6. Determines areas for continual improvement based on the analysis and evaluation of audit findings and outputs.
