As Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) gathered for the 2024 Year-End Assembly, the Honorian community paid tribute to its retired employees and administrators, celebrating their decades of service and contributions to the University’s success, during an event held at the Dr. Ernesto Nicdao Sports Center on December 20, 2024.

“To pass or not to pass? That is the question.”

This was how Dr. Maricon Viduya, the overall coordinator from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) for the Level 1 and Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) programs for accreditation, began delivering her team’s general impressions during the closing program of the online survey visit to Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) from December 2 to 6, 2024.

Dr. Enrique G. Baking, President of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), attended the executive meeting of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) leaders in Central Luzon with Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairman Dr. J. Prospero De Vera III and CHED Regional Office III Director Dr. Lora Yusi, which was held at Best Western Plus Metro Clark in Angeles City, Pampanga, on December 13, 2024.

Two Senior High School (SHS) students of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) brought pride to the ‘Potentials,’ as their mathematical problem-solving and analyzing skills earned them medals in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad Big Bay Bei (BBB) 2024 Heat Round, held virtually on December 1, 2024.

To enhance the research and technical skills of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office III (DSWD FO III) personnel, Don Honorio Ventura State University, through its College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) and Extension Services Office (ESO), launched the CSSP RCP: Research Capacity Program for DSWD, held at DSWD FO III in Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, last December 10, 2024.

In its first attempt, DHVSU has successfully attained 20th place in the Philippines and 640th place globally among 1,477 institutions across 95 countries in the 15th edition of the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024, ranking 15th among the Philippine state universities and colleges that participated.

The Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), through its Extension Services Office (ESO) and College of Computing Studies (CCS), signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office III (BJMPRO III) to collaborate on a project on the development of a Web-Based Real-Time Incident Reporting System.

The Programs on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), an annual recognition of Honorian employees who excel in their service, unveiled the list of remarkable employees for the academic year 2023–2024 at the University Auditorium on December 9, 2024.

A civil engineering (CE) alumnus of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) from batch 2008, Dr. Rodolfo P. Mendoza Jr., went back to his alma mater to lead the exploratory talk on potential partnerships and collaborations to the CE department held at College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) Audio Visual Room on November 27, 2024.

Dr. Enrique G. Baking, President of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), and Dr. Elena Tesoro, DHVSU’s College of Social Sciences and Philosophy founding dean, have been recognized as recipients of the 2024 Most Outstanding Kapampangan Award (MOKA) as announced through a post by the Pampanga PIO Facebook page on December 3, 2024.

To enhance the action research capabilities of Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health (MAPEH) teachers in basic education, Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), through its College of Education (COE) and Extension Services Office (ESO), collaborated with Pampanga High School (PHS) by signing an agreement held at the PHS campus on November 28, 2024.

Dedicated to promoting an energy-conscious culture beyond mere legal compliance with Republic Act (RA) 11285, also known as the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act, the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Unit (EECU) of the Administrative Services Office (AdminSO) at Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) conducted its Energy Conservation Implementers Virtual Orientation on November 19, 2024, via Zoom.

The Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) management, administrative council, faculty, non-academic staff, and students demonstrated their strong commitment to harmony by filling the campus with the color orange during the opening parade and ceremony of the 2024 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (EVAW) on November 26, 2024.

With a total of 43 points, the official delegation of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) secured a 7th-runner-up spot among the 13 participating higher education institutions in Central Luzon at the Culture and the Arts Association of State Universities and Colleges III (CAASUC III) - 8th Regional Culture and the Arts Festival (RCAF), held at Bulacan State University (BulSU) - Malolos Campus on November 26-29, 2024.

Furthering international friendly relations, the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) and Human Resource University (HRU) of Cambodia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote education and academic exchanges, with the virtual signing ceremony held via Google Meet on November 20, 2024.
