The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) joined forces with Don Honorio Ventura State University – Lubao Campus (DLC) for training programs titled Training on Hospitality, Opportunities and Understanding Gender Sensitivity with Holistic Target Synergy (THOUGHTS); Transformative, Hospitality, Research, Inclusivity, Values and Education (THRIVE); and Dynamic Learning for Change, Empowering Minds, Transforming Lives.

With its aim to delve deeper and explore the curriculum, leadership, management and even sports management from different universities, 19 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Education and Sports (PES) students and two professors from Adamson University (AdU) ventured on a benchmarking and fieldwork activity at Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) in its Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) programs on October 19.

Congratulations, Dr. Eddiebal P. Layco, for being recognized as the Best in Oral Presentation and Best Paper Awardee for the research entitled “Analysis of the Extent of Readiness of Grade 10 Students in Taking Basic Calculus of Senior High School STEM Strand” during the Escritos Del Sur: 4th International Conference on Multidisciplinary Research with the theme: Utilizing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) as a Universal Research Agenda on Emerging Global Communities held at Garden Orchid Hotel, Canelar, Zamboanga City on October 5-7, 2023.

Mike Ronnel Castro, a third-year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) student and a member of The Junior Philippines Institute of Accountants - Don Honorio Ventura State University (JPIADHVSU), once again demonstrated excellence in accounting by sealing first place in the Level 1 category of the 2023 Education Summit and Regional Competitive Accounting Quiz held at Tarlac State University - Lucinda Campus on October 6.

Among the 64 participants coming from the different provinces of the Philippines, Dr. Dynah D. Soriano and Ms. Mharee Joie Shynne P. Gomez have been recognized as the Best Presenters during the Microteaching Session at the Training of Trainers (ToT) for Accredited Cooperative Training Providers (CTPROs). The event, held from September 19 to 22, 2023, at Central Luzon State University, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.

Raymon M. Tagumasi, a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Science in Biology Batch 2023 at Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) – College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), was awarded as the Rank 8 - Outstanding Student Leader of the Philippines (OSLP) 2023 by Transforming Advocates and Champions (TRAC) during the 3rd International Convention of Student Affairs and Services held at Baguio Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City on October 1.

The Junior Philippines Institute of Accountants - Don Honorio Ventura State University (JPIA-DHVSU) clinched victory as the overall champion at the 2023 Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) - Pampanga Chapter Accounting Quiz Bowl held at the Department of Budget and Management, SACOP Government Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on September 29.

In line with the vision of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) of becoming one of the recognizable universities in the ASEAN region in producing globally competitive professionals, the university signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with A2K Research and Experimental Development in Engineering and Technology held at the Café Honorio on September 18.

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines (IECEP) Student Chapter of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) - College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) emerged as champions in the recently concluded IECEP Pampanga Student Chapter's 17th Regional Interscholastic Quiz Show held at Holy Angel University last September 23.

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) – Philippine Cultural Education Program (PCEP) launched the “Kongreso ng Gurong Mag-aaral (K-GuMa) para sa Edukasyong Kultural” on the 16th day of September 2023, held virtually from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This Regional Students’ Congress was intended for graduating Education students from different teacher-training institutions in the archipelago to acclimatize them to become culture-based teachers of the 21st century.
