These words concluded the message of Dr. Lora L. Yusi, Director IV of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Regional Office 3 (RO3), during the first-ever Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines (MRSP) event in Central Luzon hosted by the MRSPPampanga Chapter at Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) on May 24, 2024.
“Let us continue doing these activities because that makes us more relevant and more effective. CHED is for transformative and innovative education,” said Yusi.
Yusi also committed that CHEDRO3 will be at the forefront of supporting activities like MRSP, ensuring that higher education institutions (HEIs) connect with industry partners so every HEI can innovate and remain relevant.
With the theme “Innovative Solutions for Industry 5.0: Advancing Robotics and Mechatronics for Sustainable Development,” the Regional Conference and Skills Competition highlighted robotics competitions, a research conference, and research and development design and innovation exhibits.
The conference was organized by the MRSP Pampanga chapter, led by its President Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, in partnership with DHVSU.
More than 180 registered participants from various higher education institutions in Central Luzon attended the launch of the MRSP conference.
The top two winners from each contested category will be the official representatives of the region for the national MRSP conference.
