The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO-III) awarded Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) a Plaque of Commendation for its achievement in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) during the Luminescence 26: “Glowing with Excellence” banquet held at Nuan’s Farm Resort, Bacolor, Pampanga, on July 17, 2025.
Pampanga State U is one of the 26 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Central Luzon recognized by CHEDRO-III, led by Dr. Lora L. Yusi, Director IV.
The University secured the 338th spot in WURI’s Global Top 400 Innovative Universities and earned high rankings in key categories: 15th in Visionary Leadership (B1), 27th in SDG-Based Responses to Global Challenges (A8), and 32nd in Entrepreneurial Spirit (A4).
WURI is a global ranking system that evaluates universities based on their innovative approaches to education, research, and community engagement. This year, 26 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) from Central Luzon were recognized in various categories, reinforcing the region’s reputation as a hub of excellence and innovation.
Representing Pampanga State University at the awarding ceremony were Dr. Dynah D. Soriano, Director of the Training Services Office, and Engr. Rhoderick M. Favorito, Director of the Extension Services Office.
