Guagua, Pampanga – Through the initiative of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was forged with coffee shop owners of Guagua, Pampanga for the community extension workshop seminar titled “SEEDS of Solidarity: Sowing Experiences and Exploring Diverse Sceneries through Entrepreneurship-Tourism and Outreach Program.”

Two Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLED) major in Home Economics (HE) students from the College of Education took part in the 2nd Local Culture, Science, and Technology (LOCUST) Short Program 2024, hosted by Indonesia’s Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (UNISSULA) - Faculty of Industrial Technology, via Zoom Meeting on June 20-24, 2024.

As one of the representatives of Central Luzon in the national stint, the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (CpE) teams from Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) showcased their skills in research and innovation at the Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines’ 7th National Skills Competition held at the DOST MIRDC Compound on June 18-19, 2024.

To show strong support for the first Honorian Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program participant, the Office of International Partnerships and Programs (OIPP), led by its director, Dr. Mildred M. Crisostomo, accompanied Cailvin Reyes, a faculty member from the Porac campus, to a pre-departure orientation and send-off reception held at Greenfield Tower in Mandaluyong on June 5, 2024.

Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU)’s Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (VPSAS) and the concurrent Director of the GAD Focal Point System (GFPS), has successfully completed the Return Demonstration of Shortlisted Applicants conducted by the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) III – Regional Pool of GAD Resource Persons (RPGRP) screening committee on April 3-4, 2024.

Two teams from the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE) program were recognized as winners in two contested categories during the first-ever Mechatronics and Robotics Society of the Philippines (MRSP) event in Central Luzon, hosted by the MRSP-Pampanga Chapter at Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) on May 24, 2024.

To help ensure the continuity of education for poor but deserving students, out-of-school youth, and dependents of displaced workers, the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Pampanga Provincial Capitol accommodated 18 Honorian beneficiaries on May 22, 2024.

To learn more about the latest trends in engineering education standards in the Philippines, four faculty members of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) attended the International Conference on Innovations in Engineering Education (ICIEE) 2024. The conference, organized by Batangas State University – The National Engineering University, was held in Batangas City from May 8 to 10, 2024.

To potentially adapt the current practices of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) on instruction, research, and extension, select officials and staff from Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) conducted a bench learning activity at the University on May 17, 2024.

Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), through the Knowledge Management and Innovation Office (KMIO), accommodated the members of the Provincial Inclusive Innovation Committee (PICC) lodged under the Pampanga Provincial Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Council (PMSMEDC) for its 2nd Quarter Council Meeting held at the University Hostel on May 14, 2024.
