Providing a platform to refine and enhance the research papers of university faculty- researchers, the Research and Management Office (RMO) of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) successfully conducted its 8th Mentoring Session via Zoom Meeting on March 6 to 7, 2025.
A total of 57 faculty research papers were presented, including 22 completed papers and 35 research proposals across five specialized tracks, each monitored by distinguished experts:
- Session 1: Psychology and Social Sciences – Dr. Carlos N. Buan, Psychology Professor at Saint Louis University and Angeles University Foundation.
- Session 2: Science, Technology, and Engineering – Dr. Edison A. Roxas, Chairman of the Electronics Engineering Department at the University of Santo Tomas.
- Session 3: Education and Pedagogy – Dr. Ryan Michael F. Oducado, Research Director of West Visayas State University.
- Session 4: Language and Education – Dr. Joel M. Torres, Professor VI at Central Luzon State University.
- Session 5: Business and Management – Dr. John Vianne B. Murcia, Vice President for Research, Development, and Publication at Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc. in Davao City
The sessions aimed to provide faculty researchers with substantial recommendations to enhance scholarly writing before presenting their papers in the upcoming 30th University In- House Review, while also ensuring that the topics identified in the research proposals were researchable.
Furthermore, the mentors also provided valuable feedback, critiques, and insights to help faculty-researchers improve their papers and align with international research standards.
The mentoring session was organized by the RMO, headed by Dr. Robin Dimla, RMO Director, along with the center managers who were present at the two-day event.
