Bangkok, Thailand – Two Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BS InfoTech) students from Don Honorio Ventura State University – Porac Campus (DPC) represented the University at the Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) International Data Hack for Sustainability held at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Thailand last November 21 to 25, 2023.

Fourth-year BS InfoTech students Danica Jane B. De Chavez and Ma Angela Rose L. Rivera were endorsed and nominated by DHVSU to attend the event.

The three-day program focused on key topics such as Business Framework, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Design Thinking, and Value Proposition.

“I would like to express my gratitude to DHVSU for this big opportunity to learn and experience such a meaningful event that will surely contribute to my growth and will definitely equip us for the future. The ATU-Net International Data Hack for Sustainability is one of the best and most remarkable journeys I had in my life, definitely a superb experience, one that we will never forget,” De Chavez shared in an interview.

Student participants from various universities in the ASEAN region joined in workshops and mentoring sessions to foster collaboration in research and technology development.

“I'm very lucky to be part of that meaningful event. For a first-timer, I know it's a big help for my growth. That's why I'm very grateful to my beloved university for the opportunity to join. The conference was a big challenge but a wonderful experience that we will never forget,” Rivera stated as she told her experience.

DHVSU is a member of the Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) and the participation of the DHVSU students was made possible through the effort, guidance, and support of the Office for International Partnerships and Programs (OIPP), headed by its Director, Dr. Mildred Crisostomo, and Mr. Cailvin D. Reyes, OIPP coordinator of DPC.
