Raymon M. Tagumasi, a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Bachelor of Science in Biology Batch 2023 at Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) – College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), was awarded as the Rank 8 - Outstanding Student Leader of the Philippines (OSLP) 2023 by Transforming Advocates and Champions (TRAC) during the 3rd International Convention of Student Affairs and Services held at Baguio Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City on October 1.

To qualify for the OSLP, nominees must be endorsed and recommended by the Dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, be a Filipino citizen not more than 25 years old, of excellent moral character, and bona fide students of any affiliated Higher Education Institution, graduating in the academic year 2022-2023, should have maintained a clean academic record with no failing grades, possess good moral character, and must not have committed any major offenses, and must garner the necessary points from the criteria set forth by TRAC Awards Committee.

Tagumasi, who has been an active student leader since 2017, demonstrated his outstanding leadership abilities through various roles at DHVSU.

Notable positions he held include Governor of DHVSU-CAS Student Council for the academic year 2021- 2022, Vice President of DHVSU Biology Society for the academic year 2022 – 2023, and Head Commissioner of DHVSU Student Commission on Election for the academic year 2021 – 2022.

Tagumasi is one of the 20 finalists out of the 135 applicants who qualify for the OSLP and is the first nominee coming from DHVSU.
