Guagua, Pampanga – Through the initiative of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was forged with coffee shop owners of Guagua, Pampanga for the community extension workshop seminar titled “SEEDS of Solidarity: Sowing Experiences and Exploring Diverse Sceneries through Entrepreneurship-Tourism and Outreach Program.”

The ceremonial signing with DHVSU, through the Extension Services Office (ESO), was held at Rural Bar and Café in Betis, Guagua, on July 4, 2024.

The SEEDS of Solidarity project was designed to integrate various activities including risk management, sanitation standards, basic technical skills in handling food and beverage service equipment, and food preservation topics.

The project is led by Santa L. Merle, Extension Services Coordinator of CHTM, together with Jeaneth Serna as the assistant project leader, in coordination with CHTM Dean Kathleen Joyce Coronel and ESO headed by Director Rhoderick Favorito.

DHVSU was represented by Merle, Engr. Inla, Diana Salonga, and Dr. Dean Lapuz during the MOU signing.
