Johor, Malaysia - In line with Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) vision to produce globally competitive professionals, the university has teamed up for a partnership for expanded opportunities in the fields of education, engineering, and business with Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) on October 25.
An on-site Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing marked the beginning of collaboration between the two institutions.
This strategic step arises as DHVSU aspires to forge result-driven international partnerships with various institutions and organizations, initiating different programs, projects, and objectives.
University President Enrique G. Baking, OIC-Executive Vice President Reden M. Hernandez, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Extension, and Training Ranie B. Canlas, Chief Administrative Officer Anna C. Dayrit, and Office for International Partnerships and Programs Director Mildred M. Crisostomo staged as the key representatives of DHVSU in formalizing the MOU signing.
Meanwhile, UHTM was represented by Dr. HJ. Lokman Hakim Bin HJ. Ismail, Deputy Vice Chancellor; Tay Sin Kiat, Director of Intec Precision Engineering and AME Manufacturing; Engr. Ener Tiongson, Jr. QA Manager (DHVSU-Electronics and Communication Engineering alumnus); Professor Dr. Ruzairi bin Adbul Rahim, Vice Chancellor; Naim bin Maslan, registrar and concurrent Chief Operationg Officer; Dr. Ezak Ahmad, Head of International Engagement Department; and Dr. Shahrul Azmir bin Osman, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
UTHM’s ranking as the 236th in the QS Asian University and 1201-1500 in the World University Rankings for 2023 will offer valuable insights and help DHVSU as it embarks to achieve a QS World University ranking.
