To further enhance growth, capability, and linkage relations, Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) and Trat Technical College (TTC) formalized a partnership agreement to establish an international teacher exchange program and research collaborations, with the ceremonial signing held at the TTC campus in Trat, Thailand, on November 14, 2024.
This cooperation between the two higher education institutions also includes the exchange and sharing of human and material resources, as well as technological information, whether conducted virtually or physically.
TTC Director Jirapong Romngern and Deputy Director Lanlalit Preechachan warmly welcomed the Honorian delegates during the ceremonial signing.
Meanwhile, DHVSU was represented by Engr. Reden M. Hernandez, Vice President for Academic Affairs, concurrent OIC-Executive Vice President, and OIC-Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training & Extension, concurrent Executive Assistant to the President and Acting University and Board Secretary; Dr. Mildred M. Crisostomo, Director of the Office for International Partnerships and Programs; Ms. Kathleen Joyce Coronel, Dean of CHTM; and Mr. Mike Haizon David, BSHM Chairperson and the first Honorian participant in the faculty exchange program.
“My experience here in Thailand will open opportunities to our hospitality and tourism faculty and students to gain the international standards and practice as for the future goals of CHTM in internationalizing its programs,” said David.
David will stay in Thailand until March 2025 to complete the four-month program, during which he will teach English and professional skills while engaging in cultural and language exchanges at TTC.
