In a bid to establish the Research Institute for Strategic Education Innovation (RISE) Center under the Research Management Office (RMO), faculty researchers of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) gathered for a two-day seminar-workshop held at the University Hostel on April 22–23, 2025.
The proposed RISE center is dedicated to explore the emerging and cutting-edge teaching strategies across disciplines with a strong emphasis on utilizing Information and Communication Technology to enhance student achievement.
“The ultimate goal for this paper is—after several years, when you revisit it, you’ll realize you’ve already made an impact,” said Dr. Ranie Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension in his message to the participants.
Furthermore, Dr. Marie Paz E. Morales, Director of the Publication Office at the Philippine Normal University, served as the resource speaker of the two-day activity where she equipped the participants with the theoretical knowledge, scientific principles, and practical skills needed to conduct research across disciplines.
Participants included representatives from various campuses and colleges, including Apalit, Lubao, Porac, Candaba, and Mexico campuses, as well as the Graduate School, College of Education, College of Business Studies, and College of Arts and Sciences.
With the theme “From Idea to Impact: Mastering Action and Experimental Research in Education,” the activity was organized by the RMO headed by its director Dr. Robin Dimla, along with its center managers.
