Let the games begin!
Exuding sportsmanship and school spirit, the Golden Artisans of Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) marched as the Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (RSCUAA) III Olympics 2026 officially kicked off at the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) Sumacab Campus in Cabanatuan City on February 22, 2026.
The competition, anchored on the theme “Central Luzon: Soaring with Strength, Spirit, and Solidarity,” features 13 state universities and colleges (SUCs) vying for regional honors.
During the opening parade, Director of the Office of Sports Development (OSD) Dr. Eddiebal P. Layco proudly joined the student-athletes as they represented the university on the field.
“Play with integrity. Fight with courage. Whatever the results may be, know that the OSD and the University are already proud of them,” Dr. Layco shared in an interview.
He also emphasized that through SCUAA, athletes learn to embody sportsmanship and carry the pride and values of the University both on and off the playing field as the Pampanga State U aims to have a higher overall placement this RSCUAA3 season.
Meanwhile, University President Dr. Enrique G. Baking and Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao led the administrative council officials in showing their full support for the delegation.
The regional meet, featuring various individual and team events, will run until February 27, 2026.
All the best, Golden Artisans!
