BACOLOR, Pampanga - As part of its ongoing pursuit of excellence and vision to become a premier local college, Gordon College (GC) conducted a benchmarking visit to Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) to learn about the University’s Gender and Development (GAD) programs and Public Administration programs at the undergraduate, master's, and doctorate levels on July 22, 2024.

GC aims to improve its academic programs and administrative operations by learning from the experiences, models, and best practices of other higher education institutions like DHVSU.

The visitors were warmly received by DHVSU's University President Dr. Enrique G. Baking while Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, and concurrent Dean of the Graduate School and Director of the GAD Focal Point System, facilitated the visit. Other DHVSU officials who played a key role in the benchmarking event were Mr. Luisito B. Reyes, Dean of the College of Business Studies, Ms. Maria Liberty Isip, Program Chairperson of the Bachelor in Public Administration Program, and Ms. Kathleya Vianca P. Habon, OIC-Director of the Public Relations and Linkages Office.

The delegation from GC, led by their college president, Dr. Imelda DP. Soriano, included members of the Executive Management and Academic Council Officials.

“With my team, [I would like to] thank you very much. Your knowledge and wisdom today are appreciated. They will help improve our efforts, especially for a local college. We believe that DHVSU has strong governance and administration, and of course, academic excellence,” said Dr. Soriano in her closing statement.
