The pioneer batch of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU)’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) officially received their caps and pins in a symbolic ceremony held at the University Auditorium on September 30, 2024.
Marking their commitment to the field and responsibility of healthcare, the capping, pinning, and candle lighting ceremony was attended by the 38 second-year BSN students, also known as the ‘Nightingales,’ together with their parents and clinical instructors.
“Our dear pioneer students, you are not just the first, you are the trailblazers. You carry with you the hopes and dreams of this institution,” Dr. Adonis David, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, said in his welcome message.
The event made history as the first batch of Nightingales pledged their commitment to the nursing profession and its legacy, including the compassionate care and practice it requires.
