Honorians from the Laboratory High School (LHS) of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) secured awards from the Inter-School Cultural and Academic Competition hosted by Don Bosco Academy in Mabalacat City, Pampanga, on January 30, 2025.
Bunso ni Honorio (BNH) rocked the venue during the Battle of the Bands with their rendition of Bamboo’s Tatsulok and the common song Come Celebrate, Don Bosco, winning second runner-up.
The BNH band was comprised of Noah Ezekiel Salonga and Edyzzen Garcia on vocals; Darius Louis Dela Rosa and Isaac Justine Castro on guitars; Nazreen Quian Cayanan on bass guitar; Josiah Ethan Carlos on drums; and Rylan Cole Madamba on keyboards, along with their teacher-coaches John Ryan S. Tolentino and Emmanuel R. Perez.
Moreover, Grade 10 student Jean Sofie Jimenez, along with her teacher-coach Ma. Theresa Canivel, won first runner-up in the On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest, guided by the theme "Dulap: Pamaminu - Palabungan ing Kasalpantayanan, Kasuywan, Kabiasnan."
The competition was part of DBA’s 69th Foundation Day and was participated in by various schools in Pampanga.
