
In a significant step towards advancing its research capabilities, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) through its Research Management Office (RMO) formalized its collaboration with De La Salle University (DLSU) by signing a Letter of Cooperation (LOC) held at the University Hostel on February 27, 2026.
The agreement aims to strengthen the academic and research cooperation that promotes Filipino scholarship and integrity among the following research projects:
- Comparative Analysis of the Typological, Historical, and Conservation Dimensions of Five Medium Anti-Moro Fortifications in Eastern Visayas
- High Productivity, Low Value Capture: An Agro-Industry Oriented Value Chain Analysis of Squash (Cucurbita maxima L.) in Nueva Ecija, Philippines
- Historical Contexts of the Bangahon River, Maqueda-Villareal Bays, and San Juanico Strait Clusters of Filipino-Spanish Anti-Moro Defense Structures in Samar Province
- Si Demeterio bilang Isa sa mga pundasyon ng Araling Filipino (Demeterio as One of the Foundations of Philippine Studies)
- Assessing Filipino and English Philippine Scopus Outputs through Bibliometric and Thematic Approaches
- Bibliometric Analysis of the Research Output of Far Eastern University, Manila: Basis for an Institutional Research Collaborative Plan
- Dreamscapes from Recto Street: A Parallel Reading of Demetrio’s Partially Published Novel and the Highlights of His Works on Filipino Philosophy
- Museum Semiotics: A Descriptive and Interpretative Analysis of Kapampangan Identity in the Main Museum of the Center for Kapampangan Studies
- Systematic bibliometric and thematic comparison of the Philosphy papers in Scopus (2015-2024) of the “Big Four” Philippine Universities
- Foreign Representation in Ayala Museum’s The Diorama Experience of Philippine History
Additionally, the institutions will collaborate in the collection, analysis, publication, and dissemination of research outputs including the presentation of findings in national and international scholarly conferences.
Representing Pampanga State U during the signing were Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training and Extension Dr. Ranie B. Canlas; RMO Director Dr. Robin Dimla, and RMO staff, while DLSU was represented by Executive Director for Research and Grants Management Office Dr. Feorillo Petronilo A. Demeterio III.
