
The Training Services Office (TSO) of Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U), an Accredited Training Provider by the Cooperative Development Authority in Central Luzon, facilitated a four-day Training of Trainers (TOT) Program at Teacher’s Camp, Baguio City, from November 5 to 8, 2025.
Designed for prospective applicants and accredited Cooperative Training Providers, the program utilized participatory and learner-centered methodologies to address the evolving needs of cooperative trainers in the region.
Dr. Mary Rechelle A. Guzman, Director of Mary the Queen College, served as the resource person, reinforcing the institution's commitment to cooperative education.
She equipped participants with the knowledge to leverage the cooperative model as a tool for development and effectively manage the full training cycle for capacity building.
The workshop consisted of four modules designed to provide participants with the practical skills and approaches essential for effective cooperative education. The modules discussed included:
• Module 1: Perspective Setting: Cooperative as a Tool for Development
• Module 2: Training for Cooperative Development: Components of a Training Cycle
• Module 3: Cooperative Training Skills and Techniques
• Module 4: Action Planning
Also served as resource persons were Mharee Joie Shynne Gomez from the College of Business Studies and Mike Haizon David from the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
The training was organized by the TSO, led by Dr. Dynah Soriano along with the TSO center managers and staff, and was attended by representatives from various government agencies, cooperatives, and academic institutions nationwide.
