Seven academic programs from three campuses of Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) concluded their five-day online accreditation survey visit with the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP), held from September 1 to 5, 2025, via Zoom.
The programs included are Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Master of Science in Social Work from the Bacolor Campus; Bachelor of Elementary Education and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the Lubao Campus; Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the Mexico Campus; and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management from the Porac Campus.
During the exit conference, Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension, emphasized the vital role of accreditation in strengthening the university’s global standing.
“Our university continues to work its way toward earning international accreditation in the academic world, and this will be achievable when we create a brand image anchored in quality,” Dr. Canlas shared.
“To take a space on the global academic stage, we have to ensure that everything we do in the university is goal-oriented, objective-driven, and guided by our Quality Management Committee,” he added.
The panel of AACCUP accreditors was led by Dr. Mellany A. Tolentino, Chairperson of General Education at Mindanao State University, together with Dr. Hedeliza A. Pineda, former Vice President for Academic Affairs of Cebu Technological University, along with other distinguished experts from universities across the country.
The accreditors commended Pampanga State U for its efforts in ensuring a well-prepared and seamless survey visit.
The evaluation results and key findings were also presented, underscoring both the strengths and areas for improvement of the programs that underwent accreditation.
Guided by the Quality Management and Systems Office, under the leadership of its Director, Dr. Emmanuel B. Parreño, the visit highlighted the University’s commitment to upholding academic excellence and advancing continuous institutional development.
