Student-members of Don Honorio Ventura State University - Association of Civil Engineering Students (DHVSU – ACES) accepted the challenge by joining the 19th National Civil Engineering Summit’s National Civil Engineering Quiz hosted by the University of the Philippines Diliman last September 30.

Two teams from DHVSU with John Aldrich D. Pingul and Xandra Patricia A. Barrera as Team A and Trax Ezra C. Tolentino and Matt Jayson G. Manalang as Team B proved their determination by managing to conquer the qualifying round, securing a spot as one of the top five participants in the initial roster.

Team A’s achievement earned a place in the Semi-Finals, alongside the Top 20 contenders, showcasing their knowledge and skills in civil engineering.

The teams received unwavering support from both the DHVSU's Association of Civil Engineering Students (DHVSU – ACES) and the university's civil engineering faculty-coaches Engineer Irene R. Roque and Engineer John Vincent G. Tongol.

The summit brought together more than a hundred civil engineering students from all over the Philippines to equip its participants with the essential skills needed for nation-building.
