As part of its observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month 2025, the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), through its Planning and Development Office (PDO), recognized the offices with the highest client satisfaction ratings for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 during the flag-raising ceremony on May 5.
Leading the awardees for FY 2023 are the Finance Management and Services Office (FMSO) – Cash Unit for the non-academic unit and the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) for the academic unit.
“Pasensiya [ang naging best practice namin]... Sabi ko po sa mga Cash Unit personnel an next year hindi man natin makuha ulit ang award, kung ano ang pinapakita naming mga serbisyo sa mga nagdaang mga taon ay ganoon pa rin po ang aming ipapakita,” Agnes Pelayo, acting university cashier, said in an interview.
Meanwhile, Engr. Jun Flores, CEA dean, shared the college's roadmap for achieving their goals and commitment to receiving positive customer feedback, driven by their excellent industry connections, dedication to innovation, and emphasis on workable, impactful, and sustainable solutions.
“[We are] keeping lines of communication open with our clients, we also provide timely and high-quality services and outputs, and matching our services with international standards,” Engr. Flores stated.
Furthermore, for FY 2024, the Administrative Services Office (AdminSO) – Civil Security Unit (CSU) topped the non-academic category, while the Graduate School (GS) led the academic unit in client satisfaction ratings.
“[Sa mga kasama ko], dagdagan pa natin ‘yung ating magandang performance at least tuloy tuloy na ‘to para sa DHVSU family natin. [Sana], ang mga taong pumapasok dito sa rating institusyon ay mabigyan pa natin ng mga karagdagan at tamang serbisyo,” said Javier Espiritu, OIC-Head of CSU, in an interview.
At the same time, Dr. Dolores Quiambao, dean of GS and the vice president for student affairs and services, lauded her team for sharing the same vision in continually improving their processes and practices.
“We always consider the word ‘empathy’ by putting ourselves in the shoes of our stakeholders... It's important to have a credible team. Kailangan mayroon kang community that share the same vision,”Dr. Quiambao mentioned.
The said recognition exemplifies the principles of the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, as mandated by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) across all levels of government offices, including DHVSU.
“It is vital for the office head to know whether the client is satisfied or not with the services provided to them. With that kasi, mai-improve pa nila ang kanilang business processes,” said Dr. Eddiebal Layco, PDO Director.
Dr. Layco also encouraged all offices to identify areas for improvement to minimize negative feedback from clients and continuously enhance the business processes to ensure the efficient delivery of services.
