The Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), through its Office for International Partnerships and Programs (OIPP), signed two Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) with Human Resource University (HRU) of Cambodia to establish a joint exchange program on international learning, language, and cultural exchange, with the signing ceremony held at Khan Boeng Keng Kang, Phnom Penh, Cambodia last April 22 and 23, 2025.
Witnessed and preceded by Dr. Mean Vandet, Director of the Tourism Vocational Training Department, Ministry of Tourism (Cambodia), the signing ceremony marked the launch of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and English-Kapampanga-Kmer (EKK) Language and Culture Program between HRU and DHVSU.
Both programs will be delivered virtually with a flexible schedule, based on the mutual availability of instructors and participants, to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences for both students and facilitators.
During the ceremonial signing, Human Resource University (HRU) was represented by Dr. Chea Sopheap, University Rector, and Rin Ramo, Head of the International Relations Office.
Representing Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) were Dr. Dolores Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services; Dr. Mildred M. Crisostomo, Director of the OIPP; Dr. Dynah D. Soriano, Director of the Training Services Office; Kathleen Joyce Coronel, Dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM); and CHTM faculty members Santa Merle and Jeaneth Serna.
“The partnership provides immense opportunities to both institutions in the areas of academic exchanges and linguistic and cultural collaborations gearing toward institutional visions. This is even made stronger through carefully and pragmatically crafted and mutually agreed terms and conditions,” said Dr. Crisostomo.
