To further guide Honorian employees on the principles and standards expected in public service, Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) organized a seminar titled “Deepening Ethical Commitment: Upholding the Code of Conduct of DHVSU Employees,” held at the Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center on September 6, 2024.

Rev. Fr. Rayvin Garcia, Parish Priest of Sto. Rosario Parish in Sasmuan, Pampanga, delivered a motivational talk on Moral Ethics and Discernment, while Atty. Rosalinda A. Tanaliga-Oliva, Acting Director IV of the Civil Service Commission Regional Office III, presented a comprehensive lecture and facilitated an interactive discussion on Republic Act 6713, also known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.

The event was attended by both teaching and non-teaching personnel, and it emphasized the crucial role of ethics, discernment, and the code of conduct in shaping how people interact with each other and the world around them.

Also present at the event were the top management, including Dr. Enrique G. Baking, University

President; Engr. Reden M. Hernandez, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and concurrent OIC- Executive Vice President and OIC-Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension Services, and concurrent OIC-Director of the Procurement Management Office and Executive Assistant to the President; and Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, concurrent Dean of the Graduate School, Director of the GAD Focal Point System, and OIC-Director of the Office of Culture and the Arts.
