To facilitate the establishment of agricultural research and strengthen a network of regional and provincial partners, Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) participated in the multilateral signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office III (DA-FRO III) on May 5, 2025, at Royce Hotel in Clark, Pampanga.
The MOU signing marked the launch of the Central Luzon Agriculture and Fisheries Resources, Research, and Extension for Development Network (CLAFRREDN), which aims to establish a unified, research-driven agri-fisheries network that addresses the evolving needs of both sectors across the region.
This event also included various State Universities and Colleges in Central Luzon, including DHVSU, to enhance cooperation among agricultural stakeholders in the region to bring together institutions and organizations committed to advance sustainability in agriculture and fisheries.
Representing DHVSU at the ceremonial signing were Engr. Rhoderick M. Favorito, Director of the Extension Services Office, along with Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) Research Center members Engr. Armie Tolentino and Engr. Nicole Lumod.
The event set the stage for future initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural practices and improving the livelihoods of local communities through CLAFRREDN.
