DHVSU donates computers to 4 public schools in Pampanga

 

 

As a university committed to providing conducive learning experiences for the holistic development of learners, Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), through the Extension Services Office (ESO) and the Property and Supply Management Office (PSMO), held two separate turnover ceremonies for the Computer Donation Program for four public schools in the province of Pampanga.

On August 27, 2024, the College of Education (COE) donated computers and visited Bacolor Integrated School (BIS) as part of their social responsibility activity titled 'Adopt a Pupil Literacy Program' and Bacolor High School (BHS) for the ‘Math Tutorial Numeracy Project,’ which promotes an experiential foundation of basic education learners.

COE was represented by its Dean, Dr. Riza B. Lintag, along with COE Extension Coordinator Florenda T. Ibasco. The donations for BIS were received by its School Principal, Fe G. Bognot, while the donations for BHS were received by Dr. Ma. Veronica T. Angeles, OIC-School Principal / Head Teacher III.

On the other hand, the College of Computing Studies (CCS) hosted another turnover ceremony for Natividad Elementary School (NES) and Malusac Elementary School (MES) on August 30, 2024, for their project entitled 'Digital Dreams: A Gift of Technology to Our Schools,' which supports digital learning enhancement and accessibility.

CCS Dean Joel D. Canlas officially welcomed the recipients, assisted by Reden Paul L. Rivera, CCS Extension Coordinator, and Ronnel C. Delos Santos and Philip I. Doctor, Program Chairpersons of CCS.

Furthermore, NES was represented by Dr. Emeliza R. Sotto, School Principal III; Lilet M. Rivera, Teacher III; and Mary Jane D. Garcia, Administrative Officer. On behalf of MES, teachers Michelle B. Suing, Ronald Y. Cruz, and Ma. Andrelie S. Dela Peña received the donations.

Both activities were attended by Arch. Mair S. De Lara, Director of PSMO, for the signing of the Deed of Donation on behalf of the University, as well as the ESO center managers, represented by Dr. Dean B. Lapus, Ma. Ferdelyn M. Coutinho, Eloisa G. Mendoza, Engr. Inla Diana Salonga, Area Specialist Lourdes P. Soriano, and office staff Ma. Concepcion S. España.

The donation programs align with ESO's desire and commitment to create meaningful relationships with partner agencies and institutions.
