DHVSU inks MOU with DepEd – Pampanga for CASAUP

To provide literacy and livelihood trainings to Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners, the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), through the Extension Services Office (ESO) in collaboration with the colleges and campuses, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Education – Division of Pampanga (DepEd Pampanga) for the implementation of Care Awareness Service, an ALS Uplifting Project (CASAUP).

The partnership, sealed for a three-year duration starting in July 2024 until July 2027, will provide cooperative projects and activities that will help ALS teachers in the provision of literacy interventions to ALS learners.

The MOU aims to deliver relevant trainings that can aid the development of ALS teachers in their skills as educators.

DHVSU was represented by the ESO team led by its Director, Engr. Rhoderick Favorito, together with the ESO Center Managers, Engr. Inla Diana C. Salonga, Dr. Dean B. Lapuz, Ms. Eloisa Mendoza, and Ms. Ferdelyn Coutinho, along with the College of Arts and Sciences Extension Coordinator, Ms. Leila Cortez, while DepEd Pampanga was represented by Dr. Romeo M. Alip, Schools Division Superintendent.
