As one of the member institutions, the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) participated in the 12th Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) Board Meeting hosted by Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology, Iligan City, Lanao Del Norte last November 4-5, 2024.
On behalf of Dr. Enrique Baking, University President, DHVSU was represented by Dr. Mildred Crisostomo, Director of the Office for International Partnerships and Programs; Dr. Jovita Rivera, Director of the Sto. Tomas Campus; and Dr. Gloria Gigante, Director of the Office of Student Affairs.
The ATU-Net board meeting focused on upcoming programs, projects, and activities of the network, highlighting the benefits and privileges for all institutional members, while also emphasizing mechanisms through which member institutions could support one another in achieving international rankings.
Along with the ATU-Net board meeting was the Higher Education Leader's Forum with the theme Navigating the Future of AI: The Role of Higher Education Leaders” where Dr. Crisostomo served as one of the discussants.
Topics including the digital age and its impact on equitable access to the internationalization of educational institutions, barriers and cultural adaptations in faculty and student mobility, and curriculum enhancement and mapping in the era of AI were discussed.
MSU-IIT Chancellor Professor Dr. Alizedney M. Ditucalan hospitably welcomed all guests and participants and gave them both culinary and cultural treat of his institution.
