Tagbilaran City, Bohol - The center managers of the Extension Services Management Office (ESMO) of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) actively participated in the 8th Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementors, Inc. (PAEPI) from August 16 to 18, 2023.
With the theme, "Empowering Extension Professionals Towards Social Transformation and Food Security,” representing DHVSU in the convention were Engr. Inla Diana Salonga, Manager of the Technical Advisory Services and Technology Utilization Center; Dr. Dean Lapuz, Manager of the Community Development, Engagement, and Linkages Center; and Ms. Eloisa Mendoza, Manager of the Alumni Relations Center.
The convention aimed to promote continuous knowledge development by assembling a repository of best practices in extension from diverse State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), provide easy access to valuable information, share experiences, success stories, and lessons, and strengthen professional networks and connections, thus promoting greater technology transfer and development.
A highlight of the conference was the insightful keynote address delivered by Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, the President of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) where he talked about the Role of SUCs as an Engine of Economic Growth in the Countryside.
Furthermore, PAEPI, Inc. leadership is set to change with Dr. Hermogenes M. Paguia of Bataan Peninsula State University as the incoming president.
