Gordon College (GC) of Olongapo City, Zambales, benchmarked Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) regarding its Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) program, held at the DHVSU Multipurpose Hall on December 5, 2024.

DHVSU shared the guiding principles, strategies, and practices that shaped the University’s CE program.

These included presentations on curriculum design and delivery by Engr. Raul Duya; faculty development and support discussed by Engr. Juanita Carmelita Zoleta; student outcomes and career readiness led by Engr. Ma. Vannerie Issa Eusebio; partnerships and industry linkages addressed by Engr. Aaron Malonzo; and laboratory and facility integration facilitated by Engr. Carl Jason Coronel.

“It is our hope that through this exchange, Gordon College may glean valuable insights to further its own program, while we also gain perspectives that can contribute to our continued growth,” said Engr. Inla Diana Salonga, chairperson of the Civil Engineering program.

Also present during the event were Engr. Jun Flores, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture, along with the CE program coordinators and faculty.

Meanwhile, the GC delegation was led by Dr. Darwin P. Paguio, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Ediric Gadia, Vice President for Research, Development, and Community Extension Services; and Mr. Leby Fastidio, Director for Instruction.

DHVSU and GC had an exchange of ideas, highlighting their strengthened commitment to providing quality education and creating a positive impact on students and communities.

“At DHVSU, we believe that sharing best practices is key to continuous growth and improvement,” stated Engr. Flores.
