In the rankings released by the Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index report for 2024, Julius Ceazar G. Tolentino, an Associate Professor at Don Honorio Ventura State University, has been recognized as the top scientist among the Top 10 Scientists in Physical Education and Sports Science in the Philippines.
Tolentino is the chairperson of the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program from the College of Education and is also an active researcher in PE, human movement science, and curriculum and instruction topics.

Along with Tolentino is John Louis Marcaida, an alumnus of the BPEd program, who claimed the 10th spot on the same list.

The AD Scientific Index evaluates the academic work of scientists by analyzing their H- index, i10 index, and citation count, which provide insights into the productivity and impact

of both individuals and institutions.
