Bringing further recognition to DHVSU, Honorian ambassadors and coordinators reaped 20 awards, hailing the institution as University of the Year in the G17 University Ambassador Consortium (UAC) Philippines National Summit on August 19, which transpired at the JPL Hall of Freedom at the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Intramuros, Manila.
As the biggest undergraduate conference for SDGs kicked off, the G17 National Summit, with the theme "Championing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals," honored and recognized the SDG ambassadors and coordinators for their efforts and actions with regard to localizing SDGs.
On top of this, over 150 ambassadors and coordinators participated in this year’s G17 UAC Ph, with 10 participating universities and colleges, namely, LPU, Far Eastern University (FEU), University of Santo Tomas (UST), Adamson University (AdU), Marinduque State College (MSC), Visayas State University (VSU), University of the Philippines (UP), Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), PATTS College of Aeronautics, and DHVSU.
During the recognition, a number of DHVSU recipients from the Bacolor (Main) Campus and regular sites were granted recognition and received a total of 20 awards.
Carl Jeane S. Rongcal, the university coordinator, claimed Coordinator of the Year and bagged four Coordinator of the Month awards, including June, November, December, and February.
In addition, Ranelle F. Esguerra (SDG 13) was awarded the Social Media Advocate of the Year, while Rae Josiel Buan (SDG 2) was given the Leadership Star Award.
Furthermore, Kristen Erica Sese (SDG 12) clinched the award for Academic Star. Additionally, Remigio R. Dungo III (SDG 5), including Anne Marella Soguilon (SDG 3), received an award for emerging ambassadors, and Marjolette Pangilinan was commended for having the best dress.

The said undertaking gathered educational institutes, lawmakers, organizations, as well as corporate sectors to participate, where it provided doors of opportunities and insights on SDGs for undergraduates concerning their career prospects and their coming-of-age.
