The arena is set once again for Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) athletes as the State Universities and Colleges (SUC) III Olympics 2025, under the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA), officially opens at Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) in Magalang, Pampanga on February 24, 2025.

With athletes and officials from 14 SUCs across Central Luzon, DHVSU stood as one of the eager competitors as University President Dr. Enrique Baking, together with Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services; Dr. Normando C. Simon, Director of the Sports Development Office; and other administrative council officials, proudly joined the Honorian athletes during the opening ceremony.

“Para sa ating mga atleta, play and enjoy [lang]. This is the result of all your sacrifices and hard work,” Dr. Simon said in an interview.

He also encouraged the DHVSU community to support the athletes, coaches, and staff with their prayers as they strive to secure more gold medals this year.

After placing fourth among the 13 SUCs in the previous SUC III Olympics, Dr. Simon shared that this year’s preparations included recruiting key athletes to strengthen the team for both regional and national competitions.

The Regional Games 2025 will feature both individual and team events, scheduled from February 22 to 28, 2025. Notably, Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Bataan will join the SCUAA III parade of delegations for the first time.
