
Gearing toward excellence in full motion, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) students from the College of Engineering and Architecture of Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) triumphed at the 4th Luzon Regional Mechanical Engineering Students’ Conference (MESCON) 2026, held at the Claro M. Recto Events Place in Lipa City, Batangas, from March 19 to 21, 2026.
Organized by the Pambansang Samahan ng Inhenyero Mekanikal (PSIM), the event gathered ME students from across Luzon and featured a variety of competitions highlighting the skills, talents, and technical competencies of aspiring engineers in the region.
The ME Elasticos demonstrated both technical competence and creative excellence by clinching top spots across several categories:
- Overall Champion and Best in Design, Rube Goldberg (Machine Design) Contest - Juan Miguel P. Almuete, Jeremiah F. Balboa, Cyrl P. Boncato, Earl Patrick G. Fernandez, Chaze Izen C. Lindayag, and Royce Lander C. Villegas
- Champion, AutoCAD Challenge – Francine Hilarie H. Miclat
- Champion, On-the-Spot Poster Making – Ryan P. Dultra
- 1st Runner-up, On-the-Spot Photography – Ma. Jannie L. Omaña
- 2nd Runner-up, Amateur Photography – Eon B. Azares
- 3rd Runner-up, Quiz Bee – Ivan Elmo C. Vitug, Bryan James D. Rangel, and Prince Carlo V. Mendoza
- 7th Runner-up, Chess Tournament – Joshua Caleb G. Gonzales
Anchored on this year’s theme, “PSIM: Leadership with Integrity and Stability Geared Towards Membership Welfare Development, Professional Growth and Motivation for Global Competence,” the conference reinforced the organization’s commitment to developing future-ready mechanical engineering professionals.
