The Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) management, administrative council, faculty, non-academic staff, and students demonstrated their strong commitment to harmony by filling the campus with the color orange during the opening parade and ceremony of the 2024 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (EVAW) on November 26, 2024.
The DHVSU Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS), headed by Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services and concurrent GFPS Director, together with the University Student Council, led the opening parade across the university grounds and the opening program at the Dr. Ernest T. Nicdao Sports Center.
Various offices, campuses, colleges, and student organizations will conduct their own specific programs related to gender and development (GAD) from November 25 to December 12, 2024.
Meanwhile, the culminating event of DHVSU’s 18-day EVAW campaign will take place on December 9, 2024, and will include the GADparangal 2024.
This year marks two decades of PCW’s achievements in addressing VAW, with DHVSU being one of the agencies that consistently support the campaign.
