Bachelor of Science in Psychology students from the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) of Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) participated in the 38th Psychological Association of the Philippines Junior Affiliates (PAPJA) National Convention, held at the SMX Convention Center, National University – Mall of Asia (MOA), from March 29 to 30, 2025.
Representing the University, the DHVSU Psychology Society (PsychSoc)—composed of third-year Psychology students Mica Joyce Gomez, Shiela Mae Guevarra, Cyrel Jimenez, Maricar Manansala, Chene Sunshine Sarto, and Allyana Khae D. Tolentino—secured third place in the Best Undergraduate Thesis Competition with their study titled: “The Phenomenology of Recurrent Grief: An Inquiry into the Experiences of Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder” under the guidance of their adviser, Arold Parungao.
Honorian delegates also participated in various activities such as the TranscenDANCE: PAPJA Dance Competition, the Inter-School Psychology Quiz Challenge, Psy-Clips: A Video- Making Competition, and the Songwriting Contest.
The 38th PAPJA National Convention gathered over 7,500 students, educators, and professionals from universities and institutions nationwide, with the theme: “Celebrating Glocal Milestones and Navigating Trends in Research and Practice.”
