Arki studes top ArchiNEXT 2025 charts; finish as grand champ, finalists

 

Adding another victory to Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), Bachelor of Science in Architecture (BSAr) students from the College of Engineering and Architecture prevailed in ArchiNEXT 2025: HCG Young Designers’ Competition held at Conex Hub, SMX Convention Center, Pasay City, on April 10, 2025.

Third-year BSAr students, John Francis D. Mendoza, Trix Angel D. Pelayo, and Margoth Kimberly M. Ramos, are hailed as grand winners for their project titled “Alwina: Roots of Resilience, Wings of Wonder – A Proposed Wetland and Nature Park.”

Furthermore, three teams from DHVSU also qualified as part of the top 10 finalists:

  • Top 4 and Most Innovative Award - Mukyat M·alaya: A Proposed Active Experience Park in Arayat, Pampanga
    Designed by: Peter Paul S. Mañalac, Justine S. Manalang, and Realeen G. Ocampo
  • Top 5 - Liwasang Dadiangas: Paving the Way for Tomorrow’s Generation
    Designed by: Joshua G. Bulloso, Alyssa Gutierrez, and Jimuel Matthew M. Matic
  • Top 9 - Pitak-pitak: A Proposed Social Park in Cebu City
    Designed by: Niño Emmanuel S. Santos, Harvey A. Timoteo, and Princess Arriane B. Vitug

This year’s ArchiNEXT carried the theme “Salin-Likha: Creating Legacy for the Future,” which embodies the idea of passing on the greatest creations to the next generation.
