Let the games begin!
Pampanga State University (PSU) once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting sportsmanship and camaraderie as it hosted the 10th Season of the United Central Luzon Athletic Association (UCLAA) Invitational Basketball Tournament, which officially opened on September 13, 2025, at the Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center.
Ten higher education institutions from across Central Luzon converged for the tournament, all determined to claim the coveted UCLAA’s 10th season trophy.
The participating HEIs included Pampanga State University, Holy Angel University, Mabalacat City College, Marian College of Baliuag, National University – Clark, Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, St. Nicolas College of Business and Technology, Systems Plus College Foundation, and Tarlac Agricultural University.
The opening program was graced by Dr. Dolores Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, alongside Bacolor Mayor Eduardo “Diman” Datu, Vice Mayor Ron Earvin Dungca, as well as several former Philippine Basketball Association, UCLAA, and Gilas Pilipinas players who brought excitement to the event.
The games will run until October 5, with Pampanga State U hosting the first three days of competition from September 13 to 15.
By leading this season of UCLAA, Pampanga State University continues to strengthen partnerships among Central Luzon universities while advancing holistic student development through sports.
“It is a celebration of talent, discipline, and unity,” Dr. Quiambao said.
