Highlighting the growing importance of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) across tertiary education institutions, the 303rd Community Defense Center, 3rd Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG), Reserve Command (RESCOM), Philippine Army (PA) paid a visit Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) on November 6, 2024.
The courtesy visit aimed to strengthen the relationship between the University and the ROTC unit, focusing on enhancing the ROTC program and providing essential advanced military education to the university’s students.
DHVSU top management—including Dr. Enrique G. Baking, University President; Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension; Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services; and Ar. Alvin C. Abata, Director of the National Service Training Program Office—welcomed guests from the 3rd RCDG, RESCOM, PA, including Corporal Jhon Rey Estelloso (DS) PA, Technical Sergeant Michael Bayogo (IAF) PA, Sergeant Melvin Baclig (SC) PA, Captain Luisito Montemayor, and Lieutenant Colonel Albert Ortiz (OS) PA.
