Committed to upholding high academic standards and ensuring quality education for its students, four programs of Pampanga State University - Bacolor Campus are aiming to achieve Level 3 status as the 3-day Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) online survey visit kicked off on August 18, 2025, via Zoom Meeting.
The four programs subjected to rigorous evaluation for Level III Phase II are the following:
College of Engineering and Architecture
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Architecture
College of Business Studies
- Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management
Leading the entire accreditation process is Engr. Nestor C. Competente of Rizal Technological University, who serves as the Overall Coordinator for Level III–Phase II.
“Achieving Level III will signify that your programs have not only met but consistently exceeded the national standard of quality. It will demonstrate your commitment to continuous innovation in curriculum design, pedagogical approaches, and student support services,” Engr. Competente said.
“This level of accreditation will empower you to further strengthen your partnerships with industries and organizations, ensuring that your graduates are highly competent and industry-ready professionals,” he added.
Joining Engr. Competente in the accreditation team are:

- Floreizl P. Ventocilla of Laguna State Polytechnic University
- Arch. Roel Joseph A. Grulla of Sorsogon State University
- Dr. Raquel G. Ramos of Polytechnic University of the Philippines
- Dr. Gehana D. Lamug of Camarines Norte State College
- Dr. Agnes D. Arellano of BatSU
- Dr. Ian D. Evangelista of Pangasinan State University
“We have already ascended to a commendable elevation with our current accredited status. Today, through this rigorous Phase 2 evaluation, we aim to catch the next strong wind, to rise even higher, toward Level III, where quality is not merely maintained but continually= elevated,” said Engr. Reden Hernandez, Pampanga State U’s Executive Vice President.
Spearheaded by the Quality Management and Systems Office, under the leadership of its Director, Dr. Emmanuel B. Parreño, the 3-day online visit, scheduled from August 18 to 20, 2025, aims to ensure that the programs offered at the Bacolor Campus consistently meet professional and academic standards.
