As part of its 34th Anniversary Celebration, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office III (BJMPRO-III) conferred a Special Award on Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) in recognition of its unwavering support for the agency’s Safekeeping and Development Programs, presented on August 15, 2025, at Royce Hotel, Clark Freeport Zone, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
The recognition was given to Pampanga State University for its extension programs, particularly the Web-Based Real-Time Incident Reporting System, an innovative platform designed to digitize reporting and streamline incident management.
The project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Extension Services Office (ESO) and the College of Computing Studies (CCS).
ESO Director Engr. Rhoderick M. Favorito, together with Julieta Umali, project head from the CCS, represented the University in receiving the Plaque of Appreciation.
“This recognition amplifies Pampanga State U’s legacy as an engine of progress in Central Luzon and beyond. By solving critical operational challenges for BJMPRO-III, the University has set a benchmark for how universities can drive tangible change, turning theoretical expertise into tools that enhance public safety and governance,” Engr. Favorito said.
Pampanga State U is among the 26 other institutions that were given a Special Award by the BJMPRO-III, reaffirming its commitment to transforming knowledge into action and fostering partnerships that advance innovation, social responsibility, and community development.
