To explore potential areas of collaboration, the Development Academy of the Philippines – Graduate School of Public and Development Management (DAP-GSPDM) conducted an exploratory meeting and turnover of its knowledge products on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Futures Thinking with Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U), through its Graduate School (GS), held at the University Hostel on October 21, 2025.
Spearheaded by the Pampanga State U – GS, headed by Dr. Dolores Quiambao, GS Dean and the University’s Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, the dialogue paved the way for discussions on proposals and potential partnerships, including research collaborations, professional development courses, and shared learning resources.
The meeting also featured a presentation of the academic and executive course offerings of DAP-GSPDM, designed for public servants and development leaders.
“We’re so happy with this collaboration wherein we have at least 52 research studies already made, looking at SDGs using the tool which is new for us in the Philippines but not new to the entire world,” said Dr. Lizan E. Perante-Calina, GSPDM Dean.
“It’s high time for us to have this collaboration and the documents,” she added.
Joining Dr. Perante-Calina from DAP were Shirwood M. Faigmane, Learning Manager; Prof. Carmelo Bihasa; Andrea Francisca S. Camago; Andrea Monique A. Siguin; and John Lord Immacop R. Tobias.
Meanwhile, Pampanga State U, led by University President Dr. Enrique G. Baking, together with Dr. Quiambao, select members of the Administrative Council, and GS faculty members, welcomed the guests and participants.
“To our partners from DAP, thank you for your generosity and trust. We look forward to fostering collaborations that will advance innovation and sustainable development,” said Dr. Enrique G. Baking, University President.
Dr. Baking also expressed optimism that the partnership will create a meaningful impact in the years to come.
