To evaluate the effectiveness of community extension projects through impact assessment, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U), through its College of Computing Studies (CCS), strengthened its collaboration with Tarlac State University (TSU) through the virtual signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) held on October 21, 2025, via Zoom Meeting.
The agreement aims to conduct an impact assessment study on two extension initiatives of TSU, namely “Design and Development of a Website for Café Shack in Paniqui, Tarlac” and “Online Training on Designing Marketing Paraphernalia for Academia De Santiago of Tarlac, Inc.”
In his message of commitment, Pampanga State U President Dr. Enrique G. Baking, represented by Dr. Ranie B. Canlas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension, expressed the University’s full support for the partnership and affirmed the dedication of faculty researchers to deliver high-quality outputs.
“Our faculty researchers are committed to producing outputs that meet the standards of Tarlac State University. Let us know what you need, and we will find ways to meet those needs, as long as these requirements are within the legal parameters we’ve set for today,” Dr. Baking said.
Meanwhile, TSU President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco expressed his appreciation for the partnership and emphasized the importance of cooperation in ensuring the smooth implementation of the assessment.
“This collaboration is a testament to our shared goal of advancing research and extension initiatives that truly make an impact on our communities. We shall ensure smooth communication and coordination with our identified beneficiaries,” Dr. Velasco stated.
Joining Dr. Canlas in representing Pampanga State U were Research Management Office Director Dr. Robin Dimla, center Managers and specialists, and College of Computing Studies Dean Joel Canlas, along with the CCS faculty.
TSU, on the other hand, was represented by Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Atty. Wilmark J. Ramos, and Office of University Research Development Director Dr. Robert V. Marcos, together with their CCS department counterparts.
