As part of its commitment to fostering a safe and secure digital environment, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U), through its Occupational Safety and Health Office (OSHO), conducted a seminar on promoting digital safety held at the University Hostel on October 16, 2025.
The activity aimed to strengthen awareness of cybercrime prevention, digital safety, and responsible online behavior to ensure the protection of the University community.
Facilitated by PCol. Jay D. Guillermo, Chief of the Cyber Response Unit of the Philippine National Police–Anti-Cybercrime Group, the event was attended by members of the administrative council, student leaders, and select faculty members.
“We hope to empower our community — the students, of course, as well as us, the faculty and staff — with the right knowledge and mindset to protect ourselves, report suspicious activities, and contribute to a safer and more secure digital environment,” said Rhiziel Manalese, Director of OSHO, through her representative, Ivan Liwanag, OSHO personnel.
