Honorians recount DHVSU’s history on its 163rd founding anniversary

“Minsan mangalinwan tamu keng pundasyun na ning metung a institusyun, metung ne ing DHVSU na mengalakwan ya dati pero atyu parin ing keyang substance.”
(Sometimes we forget the foundation of an institution, and one such foundation is DHVSU, which was once left behind but still holds its substance.)

This is how Mr. Ryan Santiago, esteemed curator of the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) Heritage Museum told the Honorians who participated in the commemoration of the 163rd Founding Anniversary of Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Bacolor, now known as DHVSU, held at the DHVSU Heritage Museum on November 4, 2024.

Through the theme "Ing Misyun ning Pundasyun Instruccion na Meging Tradisyun ne; Medasyun Inspirasyun qeng Edukasyun (The Foundation's Mission is to Provide Instruction that has Become a Tradition, Inspiring Education)“, the university’s history was recognized by the Honorians through a museum tour and plenary discussion.

The event was spearheaded by the University Student Council in collaboration with the Office of Culture and Arts, supported by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, headed by Dr. Dolores Quiambao. It was attended by select members of the administrative council, faculty, staff, and students.

Meanwhile, the official dates for the University Days celebration will be announced soon and this event will celebrate DHVSU’s establishment as a university.
