“Gusto natin, lahat ng Honorians walang left behind. ‘Yung lahat sila magkaka-trabaho after they graduate.”
These words from Cristal Rio Manuel, Vocational Placement Coordinator of the Career Services Unit, set the main goal of the Job Fair 2025 Part 2 held at the Dr. Ernesto T. Nicdao Sports Center on November 4.
With a total of 49 participating companies and 565 alumni and student applicants, the whole day event aimed to fast-track the meeting of students and employers in one place.
“Kaya two times a year tayo nagco-conduct ng job fair, ‘yung una is on the month of May kasi gusto natin after lahat ng pinaghirapan nila ng four years sa pag-aaral gusto natin sila tulungan na makakuha ng work before or awaiting ng graduation rites nila,” Manuel stated.
The job fair activities began in 2023 in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 3 and have continued to the present due to the positive results from previous fairs.
“Last May 2025, ang alam namin ay may mga nahire on the spot then nireport namin ito sa DOLE. Then this year naman we’re still waiting, s’yempre excited na rin akong malaman... kasi most definitely, lahat ng nagpunta dito mostly are alumni who are really looking for jobs at hindi lang nagta-try to discover,” Manuel shared.
