
In a joint effort to strengthen local governance and empower young leaders, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay San Jose, Floridablanca, Pampanga (San Jose SK) officially entered into a partnership with Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) through the formalization of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), signed at the Multipurpose Hall on November 4, 2025.
Through the University's Extension Services Office (ESO), in collaboration with the Department of Public Administration and the Department of Industrial Engineering, the partnership will launch Project Youth Forward: Capacity Development and Strategic Planning for San Jose SK.
The project aims to guide youth leaders in developing governance plans aligned with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), AmBisyon Natin 2040, and the Central Luzon Regional Development Plan.
The project will also include a strategic planning workshop and capacity-building activities to enhance leadership, planning, and project management skills, along with ongoing technical assistance for local development.
Representing Pampanga State University at the event were Engr. Rhoderick M. Favorito, Director of the Extension Services Office, and the ESO Center Managers, who acted as representatives of Dr. Luisito B. Reyes, Dean of the College of Business Studies.
San Jose SK was represented by Michael John Ronquillo, SK Chairman, and Russel Naguiat, SK Kagawad.
