To establish a comprehensive and inclusive training-extension program aimed at empowering Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities by promoting IP awareness and consciousness, Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU), through its Training Services Office (TSO), signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Region 3 on March 28, 2025, at the DHVSU Multipurpose Hall.
This agreement marks the launch of Project TRIBU: Training-Extension, Research, and Innovation that Bridges Unity to a Progressive IP Community.
The project aims to foster awareness and consciousness within IP communities by improving educational outcomes, enhancing well-being, and creating an inclusive environment, particularly in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across the region.
One of the key components of the project is providing Basic Computer Training as part of the Education Assistance Program for IP grantees.
Additionally, it extends ICT support to enhance NCIP’s basic services through ICT integration.
